He solicited nude videos and photos of his students. He accepted a plea agreement in Jan 2026. The criminal complaint outlines the evidence and charges. The school district is accused of not properly investigating early allegations that he was having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
  • The district’s policy regarding transgender students:
    • Requires staff to address a student by their chosen gender identity pronoun.
    • A student can request to be called by a different name/pronoun without parental permission and staff must comply. They only have to provide information if a guardian specifically asks.
    • Students are permitted to use the restroom associated with their gender identity not biological sex.
    • Locker room use will be decided on a case by case basis but “there is no absolute rule that, in all cases, will require a transgender student to access and use only the locker rooms and other changing areas that correspond to the biological sex that student was assigned at birth.”
    • Students may participate in PE, intramural sports or other athletic activities consistent with their gender identity. The WIAA will determine the rules for high school sports.
