Davis said in a news questionnaire that teachers and staff need “greater cultural awareness and sensitivity training.” She claimed exclusionary discipline “causes further harm” to students by “perpetuating the school to prison pipeline.”
Davis opposed state legislation prohibiting divisive concepts saying, “by censoring teachers’ ability to discuss these so-called ‘divisive concepts’ we are doing our students a great disservice.”
